NACTO’s Global Designing Cities Initiative Launches Streets for Kids Program New Design Guidance and Demonstration Projects Aim to Make City Streets Safer and More Enjoyable for Children and Their Caretakers
AITPM National Traffic & Transport Conference, Perth, 24-27 July 2018 In recognition of the close professional connection between the Transportation Group and the Australian Institute of Transportation Planning and Management (AITPM), the National Committee is once again pleased to sponsor a Transportation Group member to attend the AITPM National Conference, this year to be held in Perth in July. The sponsorship (to the value of NZD1,500) is to support a member to attend the conference, participate in the various sessions and workshops and to represent the Group at the AITPM Annual General Meeting to be held at the conference.
The 3M Traffic Safety Innovation Award is based on the Safe System approach. The Safe System approach aims for a more forgiving road system that takes human fallibility and vulnerability into account. Under a Safe System we design the whole transport system to protect people from death and serious injury.
The Transportation Group aims to advance the knowledge base and practice of the transportation profession in New Zealand. The Tertiary Study Grant is for $10,000 for a member of the Transportation Group to undertake tertiary study to advance the knowledge base and practice of transportation in New Zealand.
Daniel Bartl and I am a student from Germany. I would like to apply for a voluntary internship in New Zealand from October 2018 to February 2019.
