Engineering NZ has introduced a new series of webinars aimed at getting the profession to reflect on what can be learnt from some of the failures that have occurred within the industry, be they one-off disasters or ongoing systemic issues.

The Transportation Group will be presenting a webinar looking at road safety and how we currently measure that (eg objectives of fewer deaths/injuries/crashes), the potential issues with what we measure vs other possible objectives (eg health, environment, economic “efficiency”), and the associated “systemic” industry processes/constraints we have for making safety improvements happen (or not).

After an initial presentation (by Glen Koorey, Bridget Burdett and Jeanette Ward), there will be an opportunity for discussion and feedback. All are welcome to attend this free event
