Join us in-person for this amazing event!

Te Ao Māori is an area which planners and supporting industries must increasingly engage with through their day to day work. Come and hear from those who operate in this space to learn what we can do to equip ourselves with the tools to deliver effective outcomes through the way that we work, and engage in this area.

The event is a panel format which will have speakers cover these four key topics:

Planning legislation and how this enables mana whenua’s involvement with plan making and projects
Perspectives and experiences on creating an iwi management plan
Project perspectives from an industry professional where mana whenua have played a key role
Ways we can normalise Te Reo in our workplaces and tikanga practices for engagement

A Q&A session will follow once the presentations have concluded to allow engagement between the audience and speakers to discuss the different topics, key tools to learn and how to put them into practice, key learnings or experiences from working in this space, and other matters the audience or speakers would like to discuss.

The Emerging Planners and Canterbury Westland Branch look forward to seeing you there and celebrating Te Wiki o Te Reo 2023!
