Join us for an engaging presentation and discussion with this visionary in sustainable urban development – proudly presenting Salvador Rueda!

Salvador Rueda is world renowned as an urban ecologist and the visionary director of the Urban Ecology Agency of Barcelona (BCNecologia), Salvador Rueda is at the forefront of sustainable urban development.

Salvador has a rich history as the coordinator of renovation and revitalization programs in the Ciutat Vella (Old City) district of Barcelona. His groundbreaking contribution lies in the invention of Barcelona’s Superblocks, an urban design concept that transforms street space traditionally reserved for motor vehicles into dynamic, multi-functional zones for walking, cycling, play, and more, by managing vehicle access.

Salvador Rueda’s expertise extends globally, as he now advises on the implementation of Superblocks in cities and towns across Europe and the Americas. Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity to hear Salvador Rueda speak about the future of urban design and the transformative power of Superblocks for Ōtautahi | Christchurch.
