Lessons from Lockdown – Transport Mobility

This panel discussion event will be held on the 30 July at Christchurch City Council Level 1 Function Room
Entrance via Worcester Boulevard

  • Start time – 6.00 pm
  • Doors open – 5.30 pm

We have five panellists confirmed from diverse areas and perspectives including walking, cycling, public transport, public health, environment and social equity:

  • Cr. Sara Templeton

  • Dr. Angela Curl, University of Otago

  • Ed Clayton, Sustainability Society

  • Ed Wright, Environment Canterbury

  • Charlotte Bebbington, Action Bicycle Club

And

  • Chrissie Williams, as panel discussion facilitator

Together, we are pleased to offer a diverse range of insightful and interesting perspectives!

The event will give us the opportunity to reflect on and discuss the:

  • Impacts of Covid-19 on transport networks, choices, environment and community outcomes.
  • Link between policy and outcomes.
  • Potential there was to maintain the shift in travel behaviour as seen in the lockdown period.
  • Importance of public messaging and what we could have done better to further encourage mode shift.
