Biketober Christchurch – ‘Get on ya bike New Brighton’
The local Canterbury West Coast branch committee is supporting a collaborative community event this Sunday 11th October 10am – 2pm called ‘Get on ya bike New Brighton’ as part of the Christchurch-wide events for Biketober’s Festival of cycling. This is about promoting cycling in Christchurch but also helping communities to reimagine their urban spaces for all users and ages.
‘Get on ya bike’ includes TG committee members facilitating a group bike ride from the bus interchange to New Brighton along the Avon River trail, as well as some free family-friendly activities at New Brighton Mall. The event includes performances, fun activities, food, workshops and live music.
