Take bus from central city or 145 Winters Road (access via QEII Drive westbound only)

Edward Husband, Project Director of the CNC Alliance (between NZTA, CCC, Fulton Hogan, Aurecon and Jacobs) will host our tour of this key piece of Christchurch’s future infrastructure as it enters a critical phase of construction.

We will get a tour of the construction works including the widening of the Waimakariri River Bridge, motorway bridges, pavements and the significant ground improvement works that allows the motorway to successfully cross swamps and flood areas. The visit will start with a health and safety induction, followed by a brief presentation on the project and then a bus tour of the site.

A bus will be provided – for those who wish to take the bus, please meet opposite CCC offices on Hereford Street at 5:00pm. Else please meet at the Site Office at 145 Winters Road at 5:45pm. The bus will return to the central city at approximately 8:00pm.

Attendees are to bring hi-viz vest, long sleeve shirt, trousers, hard hat, safety glasses, and steel capped boots (or else sturdy closed shoes).

Drinks and nibbles will be provided at Botanic at the Terraces (Level 1, 126 Oxford Terrace) thereafter. Attendance is limited to Transportation Group (TG) and Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) members only and not open to the public.

Spaces are limited so RSVP is essential. Please RSVP to Shaun at shaun.bosher@stantec.com.
